Top Ten Tuesday: Books I’d Slay a Lion to Get Early

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

I always write up a list of book I want to prioritise for the year. I’ve been a lot more strict with my book spending this year, but there are a few books that demand to be bought. I wouldn’t literally slay a Lion, I’d be eaten by the Lion if I tried, but there is that level of desperation that comes with waiting to get my hands on these books.

Discussion: Why I Don’t Set TBRs.

You may have noticed that I’ve been a bit absent in the recent weeks. I’m sorry for that. Right now life is a bit chaotic and most of the time when I’m at home I find that I’m too exhausted to even open my laptop. However, today I wanted to talk about to be read lists. These lists are often set at the beginning of each month with the hopes of being able to complete them by the end. I’ve tried to complete my tbr’s, but every time I go to set one, I find that 99% of the time they are forgotten about by the end. So, here are the main reasons why I no longer set tbr lists.

Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR 2018

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

Technically it’s Springtime, but it definitely still feels like Winter over here. We’ve had another heap of snow over the weekend, and while I typically love the snow, I want my seasons in order and am praying that Spring shows its face soon. I’m still in this slump, and I can’t see it indefinitely breaking anytime soon, but I hope it does cause I want to get back to reading again. So, while the likelihood of me reading half of the books on this list isn’t great I’m hoping I can find the motivation to try.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books that have been on my TBR Longest

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

Thank you, Goodreads for helping me narrow down the books for this weeks topic. In all honesty, I need to organise this list and be ruthless in my cull. There are so many books that are sitting on my tbr list that I’ve all but forgotten were on it to start with. Here are the books that have been on my tbr list the longest.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books on my Autumn To Read Pile

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

I’ve all but given up trying to set a monthly tbr pile because I never stick to them. However, if there’s one thing I am determined to do, it’s to narrow down the list of books that I own and remain unread. I wrote out a list of them a few months ago and I’m not going to lie it looks grim. So many books are gathering dust on my shelf so I’m hoping I can tick off a few more by the end of the year. Here are the ten books that I plan on reading this autumn.

Top Ten Tuesday: Series I Mean to Start / Need to Finish

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

This week is all about series, specifically the series we keep meaning to start and in my case have yet to finish. I must admit I have a bad tendency to start a series and not finish it. I always mean to finish them but it usually takes a good year or two to do so. I’m also guilt at not starting a series I’ve been meaning to read. I’m splitting this topic into two halves so here are the book series that are sitting on my tbr list or are in need of completion.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books Added to the TBR List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

This week is all about the books recently added to my never ending tbr pile. I must admit I always forget to add books to the list on goodreads so for that reason I do a good job at forgetting which books I do plan on reading. For this week I’ve split this topic into two halves. The first will focus on the recent fantasy books added to the list while the second looks at the contemporary.
