Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

2017 has been a bit of a slumpy reading year. I’ve only read 18 books so far and quite a few of those were re-reads. So, instead of picking my top 10 books of the year so far, I’ve decided to narrow the list to my top 6 books.

Top Ten Tuesday: Father’s Day Freebie

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

I am so thankful for this topic because if I hadn’t seen it, I would have forgotten all about Father’s Day. In contrast to the Mother’s Day freebie, I found it a lot easier to find books that feature a father figure. Here are my chosen 10 books that feature a father figure.

Top Ten Tuesday: Summer Reads

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

Summer’s here and it feels so good. Our summers are usually short and sweet in the UK so any sign of sunshine and warmth is welcomed. Summertime is usually my contemporary reading time. I like it when a book reflects the weather and I have been seriously slacking on my contemporary reading (and reading in general) this year. So here are the 10 contemporary books I plan on devouring this summer.

Top Ten Tuesday: Cover Love #2

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

This week is all about the cover love. Now I’ve done this topic before and it was just a general gushing of pretty book covers. So this week I thought I’d put a simple thematic twist on the topic and look at my favourite covers that feature people on them.

As you know I am not a fan of broody book models on the cover of my books. However, sometimes having a person on the cover (or the silhouette of one) can be very striking.

Top Ten Tuesday: Spring TBR 2017

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

Time for another laptop update. Well, it’s fixed but it’s on its final breath so now I have to get myself a new laptop. Technology well and truly hates me.

I’m still recovering from A Conjuring of Light so I’ve yet to pick up another book. I have plenty of books I plan on reading so hopefully I can get out of this book coma soon. Here are the 10 books that are on my Spring to be read list.

Top Ten Tuesday: Cover Love

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and Bookish where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

This week is all about the visual. Now, I was stumped by this topic. To start, I’ve read a total of 3 graphic novels in my lifetime. I could have done a TV spotlight, but I did that in last weeks TTT. So the only topic I could think of relevant to this week was on book covers. Admit it, you’ve judge a book by its cover and these are 10 books that gave me a serious case of cover love and are now happily sitting on my bookshelf looking all pretty.
