July Wrap Up 2017

Hello August. Another month has flown by and I’m pretty sure all my days are blurring into one right now. However, before we officially welcome August, we have to say farewell to July.

So, what was the highlight of the month? My new kindle. Yes, I have finally taken the plunge and have purchased my very own kindle voyager. Why now? Simple, it was a prime day deal. 😛 In all seriousness though I’d been debating getting one for a while now and the deal came about at the right time and because of it I had the best reading month so far.

It’s very rare that I read more than 5 books a month but somehow I ended up reading a whopping 7 books in July! That is quite an achievement for me. My favourite book from the month had to be The Piper’s Son by Melina Marchetta. Her books always get to me and I loved reacquainting myself with Tom, Francesca and the gang. My fantasy read of the month was Our Dark Duet and I really enjoyed it but it’s not my favourite Schwab book. After that I was pulled to my addiction; Sports contemporary romances. Those books are all kinds of addictive and kept my reading mojo alive. Here is a summary of my July.

July Wrap Up 2016

Goodbye July. It was nice being in your company for these last 31 days. I must say in terms of reading, this has been my best month yet. I read 5 books, which is a step up from my usual 3 and I finally feel energized to read more. As  predicted my summer contemporary binge session has kicked in and once again it was a Morgan Matson book that triggered this summer contemporary sesh. 😛

Here are the books I read in July. I’d say the standout books would be The Wrath and the Dawn duology mainly because Khalid and Shahrzad had my shippers heart going into overdrive. 😀
