Top Ten Tuesday: Autumn To-Read List

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

Now, as a rule I don’t tend to set TBR list. I have a whole slew of reasons to justify why, some of which you can find here. However, that does not mean I am completely against them. Realistically, I know that I am not going to read more than 10 books by the end of the year, I’d be surprised if I even read half of this list. That doesn’t mean that I don’t want to, I’m just not in the mood to do so. Having said that, these are the five books that I a currently being drawn to and might read in the Autumn.

Top Ten Tuesday: TV/Film Recommendations

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

This week is all about TV and Films. This year I have been watching more than my usual quote of TV and Films. With this reading slump in full swing, the easiest way to fill the void is to watch everything and anything. However, some films and shows stick with you for longer, and these are my recommended must watch TV and Films.

Top Ten Tuesday: Books to Pull You Out of a Slump

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

As you all know, this year has not been the most productive reading wise for me. It’s safe to say I am most definitely in a slump. I recently wrote a discussion post on how I’ve come to embrace my book slump. However, if you are desperate to get rid of this slump then these type of books are the ones I’d recommend you turn to when facing a reading slump.

Top Ten Tuesday: Worth the Hype

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

It would be so easy to write a list of the pros and cons of hyped books, but I’ll save that for another time. Instead, this weeks topic is all about highlighting those books that lived up to the hype. Now, I don’t know about you, but hyped books intimidate me because you go in expecting to be blown away only to be left with a mediocre ‘meh’ moment. However, certain books do live up to those expectations, and here are the books that are worth all the hype.

Top Ten Tuesday: Best Books of 2018 so Far

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

I’ve not been reading much this year and I think the reason why is a combination of things. As always, I am a mood reader so if I’m not in the mood to read, chances are I won’t. That’s the main reason, but contributing factors have been a lack of time and energy. This year has been pretty full on for me. I’ve started a new job, I’m still working shifts at my old job, making travel plans, and sorting my life out, so putting my efforts into all that just leaves me feeling drained sometimes. Safe to say I’ve been in a bit of a slump this year. However, numbers don’t matter when it comes to reading and instead of spotlighting 10 books for this list, I’ve gone with my top 3.

Top Ten Tuesday: 4th July Special

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

In honour of the 4th of July holiday, I thought I’d do a different take on this weeks topic. I could easily spotlight my favourite American books and authors since most of the books I have read are written by Americans. However, I thought this week I’d share with you the places I’d love to visit in the States. Some of these locations have been inspired by books, others have just piqued my curiosity. So, here are the top 10 bucket list locations in America.Image result for san francisco Continue reading

Top Ten Tuesday: Abandoned Series

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by the Broke and Bookish and hosted by That Artsy Reader Girl where we get a new topic for a top 10 list.

There seems to be a growing love/hate relationship with book series these days and it’s a topic I will be covering in a discussion post I’m hoping to write. I love a good series. I love the idea of following a character from beginning to end and exploring a variety of different avenues along the way. However, series are also incredibly time consuming and I just don’t have the time or patience to commit to all the series. So, here’s a list of the book series I’ve decided to abandon.
