This week I am waiting on
Turtles all the Way Down by John Green
Publication Date: October 10th 2017
Goodreads Summary
Sixteen-year-old Aza never intended to pursue the mystery of fugitive billionaire Russell Pickett, but there’s a hundred-thousand-dollar reward at stake and her Best and Most Fearless Friend, Daisy, is eager to investigate. So together, they navigate the short distance and broad divides that separate them from Russell Pickett’s son, Davis.
Aza is trying. She is trying to be a good daughter, a good friend, a good student, and maybe even a good detective, while also living within the ever-tightening spiral of her own thoughts.
In his long-awaited return, John Green, the acclaimed, award-winning author of Looking for Alaska and The Fault in Our Stars, shares Aza’s story with shattering, unflinching clarity in this brilliant novel of love, resilience, and the power of lifelong friendship.
I was 17 when I first read a John Green book and at that time I loved his books. His books came to me at a time that I was rediscovering my love for reading. However, six years has gone by since I read one of his books and my interest and love for his books has waned. I’m interested in this book because it’s his first one in five years. Over the course of those years John and his readers have changed so it’ll be interesting to see how this book differs from his earlier works.
What’s your most anticipated book?
Did you see that he posted a video on youtube of him reading the first chapter? It does sound really interesting. I will be picking this book up for sure!

Honestly I think I might struggle with his books now but I’ll give it a shot at least.

I think I might do the same. Plus I find I have to be in the right mood to read his books.

I’m so glad to see you mentioning this book, Lois. John Green is one of my favorite authors, I can’t wait to read this. I watched the video where he read the first chapter of his book and it sounded very good, but…I might be a bit biaised here because I love him so much ahah. I can’t wait to see how this book differs from his previous work as well 🙂
